Service Description

At Rowon Studio, our Wheel Throwing Masterclass focuses on building strong fundamentals through traditional Korean pottery techniques and hands-on practice. Students begin with clay preparation, centering, and essential throwing skills before progressing from the sabal (traditional Korean bowl) to plates, cylinders, and larger forms. Through demonstrations, guided exercises, and individual feedback, each student develops both technical ability and confidence on the wheel. We believe that understanding clay comes through experience. By learning to work with intention and attention to detail, students gain a deeper appreciation of the material and the craft itself. The program welcomes all skill levels, with instruction tailored to each student's goals and experience. Students leave with new skills, finished pieces of their own, and lasting memories from their time at Rowon Studio. #Provided for you - Guidance and teaching - Space for independent study - Personal wheel and all necessary tools - Unlimited clay - Access to comprehensive tool and materials shop from which residents can purchase additional materials -Instruction by Teacher Kwon Taeyoeong is simultaneously translated from Korean into English. #Please note - Check in between 3pm - 5pm on March 9th(plan to arrive at Rowon Studio at this time). - We will provide lunch each day.
